Here’s a new add-on to my camera video gear collection. A simple camera slider. No bells or whistles and cheap to own. $172 includes slider ( shipping) and making hole and tapping. The small fluid head I bought separately. I ordered the slider here http://www.amazon.com/DryLin%C2%AE-Linear-Motion-System-Sliders/dp/B003XECN2S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1323444522&sr=8-1
A nice small Gitzo mini fluid head
I had to drill a 3/8″ hole through the 1/4″ aluminum plate, tapped the threads, then fitted it with the 3/8″ 16 tpi 1″ bolt.
tapped all the 3/8″ holes along the slide.
Bob Seetin’s Metal Fabrication shop in Williamsburg , Brooklyn provided the tap and drill.
