My ears are still ringing from watching The Joy Formidable perform live at Johnny Brenda’s in Philadelphia. JB’s is a great intimate venue in the Fishtown area of philly. The Joy Formidable is on a two month tour which started out at SXSW. My musical friends at NPR talked them up prior to the start of their tour but I knew about Ritzy, Rhydian, Matt back in early 09 when RadioNoWhere’s Christopher Laird show and The Library of Sound had interviewed them. It’s amazing what three people can do on stage. I definitely recommend seeing this band live.
